About Your Host Jared Bloch, Esq., owner of Creative Copyright Club and an entertainment attorney specializing in independent film, television, and talent representation!
An entertainment attorney at one of the top entertainment law firms in the country, Jared counsels clients on the pitfall of Copyright Law on a daily basis. Jared spends his days as production counsel on independent films, as well as representing producers, actors, directors and writers.
Prior to joining his current firm, Jared worked as legal production counsel for Broadway shows such as Pippin and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Jared has also clerked in the Business Affairs departments of the Oxygen and Bravo television networks, as well as with the William Morris Endeavor Entertainment talent agency, and Wilhelmina Models.
In addition, Jared is owner of Creative Copyright Club, a company that specializes in helping artists register their works with the U.S. Copyright Office. Creative Copyright Club also performs Copyright Law lectures and seminars at universities and creative institutions throughout the United States.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Jared started his career at the Endeavor Talent Agency in Beverly Hills, California. At Endeavor, Jared worked in the television literary department working with creators and show-runners at the highest levels in both scripted and unscripted television.
On the production side, Jared has worked for the Academy Award, Emmy and Tony winning film producer Scott Rudin, Jared’s work includes films such as The Social Network, Doubt, Revolutionary Road, Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Reader.
As a published author, Jared’s note “From the People’s Court to American Idol: The Relationship Between Television and Arbitration” has been republished nationally numerous times. It can be found in entertainment law textbooks at numerous law schools where it is used to teach law students about the enforceability of contracts with studios and networks.
