Create your full verbal pitch arsenal to be ready to sell your project to buyers, investors or distributors in any scenario so that you are ready for every opportunity!
If you’re looking to break in and get your project past the gatekeepers, there is one skill you’ll need to perfect - pitching. And there are different types of pitches that vary in length depending on the meeting or opportunity you find yourself in. We want you to be ready for all of them.
Writers, directors, producers, and sometimes even actors need to be able to pitch yourself and your material at the highest level and often at a moment’s notice. Your verbal pitch needs to grab your viewers’ attention and make them want to invest their time and money into you and your story.
However, what is the best way to pitch your project and yourself as the creator? How do you know what to include and what to leave out? What do you need to include with your verbal pitch before heading in the door? Furthermore, how do you even get in front of the key decision makers who can help move your project forward?
Stage 32 is here to answer all these questions and more.
In this exclusive Stage 32 8-part pitching lab, you will create and polish your 5-minute, 10-minute, and 20-minute pitch for your feature film or television project with expert guidance from an industry leader.
Guiding you through creating these three different formats of your pitch to ensure you are set up for success is Robin Galloway, a literary manager and development executive at Gramercy Park Entertainment. In addition to management, Robin has also worked in production for Sony, FOX, and TNT and was a consulting buyer for Film Movement, an award-winning distributor of independent and international films. For over a decade, Robin has worked with writers to develop pitches that have often led to commercial success. She has also been on the buying side of content and is sharing all of her industry experience and knowledge exclusively with the Stage 32 community!
Over 8 interactive sessions, you’ll work with Robin and your fellow writers to workshop and hone your pitch to get it ready to present to producers, executives, and financiers. You’ll practice your pitches multiple times in class to receive feedback and will work one-on-one with Robin to hone each version of your pitch. You will walk away from this lab with a polished 5-, 10-, and 20-minute pitch for your film or television project that you feel confident in presenting to decision makers.
And just to ensure that you’re able to get access to pitch to the right people, Robin will also cover the current state of the industry so that you know who is looking for pitches, the difference between pitching to producers vs. pitching to reps, and how to land the pitch meetings you want.
By the end of this interactive lab, your 5-minute, 10-minute, and 20-minute pitches for your film or television project will be vetted by an industry professional so you can take the entertainment industry by storm in any scenario.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to take your writing career to the next level by building the perfect pitches for you and your project!

PRAISE FOR ROBIN'S WORK AND EDUCATION:
"As a working writer for the last eighteen years, I can attest to what I believe makes a great manager... Robin is one of the most energetic, exciting, and engaged people I’ve ever met in my life. She is brilliant, creative, and has a lifetime of rich experiences, travels, and knowledge. Most of all, she leads with a warm, beating, nurturing heart. Put all these characteristics together and you have a tremendous, if not ideal advocate, partner, and guide. I can think of no writer or creative who wouldn’t benefit from having Robin launch, sustain, and extend their career." — Roger Wolfson (HEROES, CENTURY CITY, THE CLOSER, SAVING GRACE, FAIRLY LEGAL)
"As a literary manager and development executive Robin is invaluable at understanding what a writer is trying to do with their work on the page and is helpful in distilling that idea so that it translates to those in the industry. She acts as a critical resource that helps to champion the work of the writer above all else to make sure that the real reason we are telling our stories is upheld above competing interests. She's a warrior for writers!" - Christina Ham (WESTWORLD, THEM: COVENANT, THE CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA )
"I was AMAZED at how brilliantly Robin took me over the finish line with my pilot and pitch for studio execs. She provided dramaturgical insights, market insights, character insights, performance/delivery tips, and when I told her to take a red pen to it, she shaved off 25 minutes from my pitch - and it lost nothing; actually became much sharper. I turned it into the production company - to immediately receive the email I’d been waiting months for: “We love it, we’re ready to go!” - Jennifer Haley (MINDHUNTER, HEMLOCK GROVE)
