This is a tricky process and it's important that you understand how to navigate it. 

When it comes to making offers often times a "no" comes because of poor timing, lack of preparation, or misunderstanding what makes talent say "yes." These missteps can lead to missed opportunities and, ultimately, jeopardize your entire film. We're here to help you avoid those pitfalls and make sure your talent offers hit the mark.

To guide you on this process is a prolific award-winning indie producer, Jim Young. Over four sessions, you'll get all the tools you need to succeed in making talent offers. In Session 1, we'll talk about what to consider during the development phase to attract talent. Session 2 covers how to lock in that talent, including tips on creating a cast list and working with casting directors. Session 3 is all about making your offer to actors, from writing the perfect letter to involving actors as producers. Finally, in Session 4, you'll learn how to make offers to directors, with a focus on the critical elements of agreements and offer letters.
