We all have a story to tell. And we all want to see our ideas on the big screen in theaters across the globe or on television screens in millions of homes.

However, getting your story from script to screen can be a daunting process. Working on the craft of screenwriting and generating screenplays each year takes an extreme level of discipline, professionalism, and collaboration. One of the most important parts of the screenwriting process is development. Executives, reps and buyers need to know how to best give creative notes to writers. And receiving creative notes on your scripts and development materials from reps, executives or buyers as a writer and effectively and professionally addressing those notes is a huge part of every writers' job. It’s a skillset that all professional screenwriters and creators need in order to be successful in this business.

In this exclusive Stage 32 2-part class, you will learn to navigate the delicate dance of the development process between writers and creators and the reps, executives and buyers the they work with. By learning the best practices of giving, receiving, and addressing script notes, you will have a skill set and perspective that can help you move your projects forward.

Over two intensive and interactive sessions, you will take a look at both sides of the table - the screenwriter ad creator side and the rep, executive & buyer side - and you will be provided tools to nurture the relationship between the two sides of the equation to produce a safe and creative development process that gets scripts and projects advanced, approved and shows or movies into pre-production.

Whether you’re a writer looking to sell your work or a development exec or producer looking to work with talented writers, it is essential you know how to engage in the notes process to make meaningful progress on your projects. It's also important to know how the other side of this equation thinks and feels about script notes.
