Get Certified in Progress Reports & Work Flow
Taught by Brenda Wachel, script supervisor on the films JURASSIC PARK 3, OCTOBER SKY, BRIGHT, COLLATERAL, FURIOUS 7, and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER.
In this certification course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of a script supervisor's progress reports & work flow for a film or TV series. A script supervisor's daily progress reports are critical for a production department to accurately know what has been shot during a day of shooting which allows them to make any needed adjustments to a shooting schedule. The detailed overview of a script supervisor's work flow in production is invaluable for anyone who wants to work as a script supervisor or with a script supervisor (directors, assistant directors, DPs, editors and SFX coordinators). This critical knowledge will allow you to contribute on any production and is a critical step toward becoming a script supervisor who can work on any size production for film or television.
The script supervisor is in charge of continuity on set, doing analyses of script and scene timing, and acts as the conduit between everything that is shot or captured on set and the post-production team, including editors and the special effects team. At various points of production, the script supervisor is responsible for generating several documents that are needed by post-production and production. This class will break down that work flow through each stage of production.
The course will cover:
- What are Progress Reports
- Set up Beginning Day 1
