Get Certified in Final Delivery Elements for a TV Series
Taught by Courtney Conte, Former Head Of Production eOne Studios & The Carsey-Werner Company
Television is a medium with exacting timelines and delivery schedules. Whether a global streaming service, broadcaster or cable network, all television shows are created and delivered in a standardized fashion. Understanding how to deliver a television series on time and on budget is a critical skill set that any producer needs to understand.
In this certification course, you will learn an overview of exactly how a television drama is delivered and what happens behind the scenes once the concept is set and sold. It is the job of a television producer to maintain delivery standards, keep the crew and creatives on track to meet deadlines across departments, and learn a basic overview of how the many departments work together and finally deliver the elements to the network or streamer for airing.
The course will cover:
- What a standard television budget is (for networks and global streamers)
- The creative elements you will need to develop your show budget
- What a standard page count is
- What staff and crew are hired and when
- Types of television deals and their standard structure
- The two types of television schedules used
- How to schedule a shoot including a hiatus schedule
What is Individual Certification?
Individual Certification is a single course centered around one subject. Upon the completion of this course you will be Stage 32 Certified in this area of production. (To be Master Certified in a particular area of expertise, please see the Master Certification section of the platform.)
After viewing the course you will be given a test of your knowledge and understanding of the subject matter. You have the ability to pause your course and go back to review sections as you are learning. You will be given three attempts to take the test. If you do not pass the test after the third time you will need to re-enroll in the course.
Once you pass the test you will be issued a Stage 32 Certificate recognizing your efforts in passing the course. You will also be listed in our master database accessible by film commissions, productions and any executives who are looking for talent. You will also receive a Stage 32 Certification badge that will be added to your Stage 32 profile, so people who are hiring on Stage 32 will know that you have completed a Stage 32 Certification course.
In addition to Stage 32, we highly recommend you post your Stage 32 Certificate on your LinkedIn and other social media profiles.
