A Post-Production Supervisor's protocols for a feature film involve managing the technical, creative, and logistical aspects of the post-production process to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets the director's creative expectations. On a feature film, the Post-Production Supervisor manages the post-production budget and schedule, all workflow, including sound mixing, color correction, special effects, editing, music, dailies for the producing team and studios, and ultimately, the entire process to completion. By following these structured protocols, Post-Production Supervisors ensure that feature films are delivered efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

What is Individual Certification?

Individual Certification is a single course centered around one subject. Upon the completion of this course you will be Stage 32 Certified in this area of production. (To be Master Certified in a particular area of expertise, please see the Master Certification section of the platform.) 

After viewing the course you will be given a test of your knowledge and understanding of the subject matter. You have the ability to pause your course and go back to review sections as you are learning. You will be given three attempts to take the test. If you do not pass the test after the third time you will need to re-enroll in the course.

Once you pass the test you will be issued a Stage 32 Certificate recognizing your efforts in passing the course. You will also be listed in our master database accessible by film commissions, productions and any executives that are looking for talent. You will also receive a Stage 32 Certification badge that will be added to your Stage 32 profile, so people who are hiring on Stage 32 will know that you have completed a Stage 32 Certification course. In addition to Stage 32, we highly recommend you post your Stage 32 Certificate on your LinkedIn and other social media profiles.

About the Instructor

Leslie Converse is a Film Producer and the Post-Production Supervisor on critically acclaimed films such as BABYGIRL, starring Nicole Kidman, MARRIAGE STORY, starring Scarlett Johansson & Adam Driver, HILLBILLY ELEGY, directed by Ron Howard, Noah Baumbach's LOGAN LUCKY, UNSANE, HIGH FLYING BIRD, THE LAUNDROMAT, NO SUDDEN MOVES, WHITE NOISE, and many more films. 

A graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Leslie joined The Muppets after college as a production coordinator and soon became Frank Oz’s assistant, where she worked with Oz on the films THE INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD, IN & OUT and BOWFINGER, where she became the post supervisor.

She then worked for producer Scott Rudin on films such as FAILURE TO LAUNCH. She then made the documentary film MUPPET GUYS TALKING. 

Recently, Leslie has been the Post-Production Supervisor on the feature films THE IRON CLAW, MADAME WEBB, and THE SMASHING MACHINE for A24.
